In order to receive an Instructor certification you must periodically physically train and maintain training under Sifu Manfredy and/or one of his tested and certified affiliates! instructors, No exceptions!

(If this criteria is not met, your certification with become void and made known publicly via press release to your Local, National International, and Social news media outlet to avoid misrepresentation of the Federations reputation and standing in the martial arts communities, we are not a belt factory and will not be treated as such!)

Instructor Certification Program

  • All levels require personal training between the candidate and a WCFAF Certified Instructor. This training includes private lessons at either the Main Academy with Sifu Jimmy Manfredy and/or his Senior Instructors, or with Certified Instructors at an affiliate school. Certification for Senior Instructors or higher require training with Sifu Manfredy at the Wing Chun Fighting Arts Federation or at your location if a seminar has been scheduled.

  • Private training includes, but are not limited to; forms, theories, chi sau applications, combat applications, footwork, drills, and exercises appropriate for the testing level. Individuals will also learn how to instruct, how to formulate lesson plans, how to explain theory and technique, and get practical experience running classes. Individuals are judged on their technical skill and knowledge along with their ability to explain, teach and their personal character.
     

  • Each level requires a minimum of 12 hours of personal instruction, which is at the rate of $50/hour (12 hours x $50 = $600). This fee must be paid at the time of scheduling your private lessons and is paid to the school at which you are taking the private instruction. Additional training hours are available upon request.
     

  • The WCFAF does not provide living accommodations. You will be responsible for your own transportation and hotel accommodations during the time of your training. Please reserve your personal training at least two weeks prior to your arrival for personal training at either the main school or the affiliate school.
     

  • Sifu Jimmy Manfredy has the right to discontinue training individual who does not meet the requirements of our Wing Chun Instructor program.

Wing Chun Instructor Level I - BLACK SASH

  1. You must hold a minimum certification of Baat Jom Dao Level with the WCFAF and have have been certified for at least 12 months as a Red Sash w/ Black Tassels assistant Instructor level with the WCFAF.
     

  2. Record a 30 minute video in which you demonstrate your ability to teach a group class covering Sheung Chi Sau, and explain theories and applications of all seven sections Mok Yan Jong to students . Register for your Level I Instructor Test and send the video to Sifu Manfredy for evaluation.
     

  3. After your video evaluation is finished you must schedule and complete a minimum of 12 hours of personal training with Sifu Manfredy or one his certified instructors. Upon completion of your personal training a final assessment will be given for your eligibility for Level I Instructor Certification.

Wing Chun Instructor Level II - BLACK SASH w/ One Stripe

  1. You must be certified for at least 12 months as a Level I Instructor with the WCFAF.

  2. Record a 30 minute video in which you demonstrate your ability to teach a group class covering Advanced Chi Sau and explain the applications and theories of the Wing Chun pole form. Register for your Level II Instructor Test and send the video to Sifu Manfredy for evaluation.

  3. After your video evaluation is finished you must schedule and complete a minimum of 12 hours of personal training with Sifu Manfredy or one his certified instructors. Upon completion of your personal training a final assessment will be given for your eligibility for Level II Instructor Certification.

Wing Chun Instructor Level III - BLACK SASH w/ Two Stripe

  1. You must be certified for at least 12 months as a Level II Instructor with the WCFAF.
     

  2. Record a 30 minute video in which you demonstrate your ability to teach a group class covering the theories and application of the Biu Gee form. Register for your Level III Senior Instructor Test and send the video to Sifu Manfredy for evaluation.
     

  3. After your video evaluation is finished you must schedule and complete a minimum of 12 hours of personal training with Sifu Manfredy or his instructor. Upon completion of your personal training a final assessment will be given for your eligibility for Level II Senior Instructor Certification.

Wing Chun Instructor Level IV - BLACK SASH w/ Three Stripe

  1. You must be certified for at least 12 months as a Level III Instructor with the WCFAF.
     

  2. Record a 30 minute video in which you demonstrate your ability to teach a group class covering the theories and application of the Biu Gee form. Register for your Level IV Instructor Test and send the video to Sifu Manfredy for evaluation.
     

  3. After your video evaluation is finished you must schedule and complete a minimum of 12 hours of personal training with Sifu Manfredy or his instructor. Upon completion of your personal training a final assessment will be given for your eligibility for Level IV Senior Instructor Certification.

Wing Chun Master Instructor

Black Sash w/Four Stripes & Black Tassels

This Level must be voted on by the Wing Chun Fighting Arts Federations board of directors!

(Must have a minimum of 10 years of dedicated training!)
